Learning In Year Four

Learning in Year Four builds on the knowledge and key skills of Year Three. It is an important year for consolidation and extending skills and understanding. The children's growing independence and familiarity with the expectations placed on them becomes embedded this year.

German lessons continue this year and build into reading and writing simple phrases whilst their increasing vocabulary helps children speak more fluently and increase the complexity of their sentences.

Opportunities are once again made available for the children to take part in something exciting and different whilst extending their learning. The Year Four Residential is a two night stay and focuses on science skills whilst the Year Four Overnight Challenge draws out the children's understanding about homelessness and refugees.
